OUR MISSION

Why We Do "Farm Fresh" Better

Don't be mislead by the grocery store "Farm Fresh" eggs

If you've ended up here, you're likely a health conscious individual and/or a farm fresh food connoisseur. Either way, we welcome you!

Like most good things, at some point, they get taken advantage of by money hungry corporate entities. The term "Farm Fresh" is a near and dear term for many who grew up literally eating the foods that were collected just outside their dining room window. Nowadays you can walk into nearly any grocery store, big or small, and find an overpriced, fancy package of eggs labeled "Farm Fresh".

Maybe our standards are set too high - OR - maybe we just have a realistic definition of FRESH.

Allow us to fill you in on the sly marketing ploys lead by multi-million dollar, investor-owned "Farm Fresh" egg farms.

First, let's define "Fresh", shall we?

Let's note the term recently. What does recently mean to you, when it comes to food? Would you consider an egg that's 45 days old, "Fresh"?

Because, legally, big "Farm Fresh" egg farms and their retailers can still market a 45 day - or even a 59-day old egg as "Farm Fresh". It's not until the 60th day after the egg was collected that it needs to be pulled from the shelf.

Forgive us for not believing that's what "Fresh" is

At Vintage Farm - 7 days from collection to your hands is the max we allow. After that, the eggs that have not sold, are then recycled. We use them for feed for our farm fresh pigs, compost to keep the land around us fertile, or various other doings.

We think you would agree that 7 days is "Fresh"

Let Vintage Farm show you the difference - Your first dozen eggs are on us, just enter your email below!
